1. Definitions and License Grant
This End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Plomb Type (“Licensor”) and you (“Licensee”), the company, organization, or individual named at the time of purchase. Upon full payment of the non-refundable license fee, Plomb Type grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Fonts as described herein. This license covers commercial uses across all media, including print, web, applications, broadcast, and social media.
1.1 Definitions
• Licensor / Plomb Type: Plomb Type, the owner and rights holder of the Fonts.
• Licensee / You: The entity named at the time of purchase, granted the license to use the Fonts.
• Fonts: The font software, including all digital files, typographic designs, outlines, and any bitmap or vector representations derived from it.
• Subcontractor: Any third party working on your behalf (e.g., designer, developer, or printer) using the Fonts for your licensed project.
1.2 Company Size
License fees are determined by the Licensee’s total number of employees. For the purposes of this License, Employees shall be deemed to include all individuals who contribute on a regular and ongoing basis to the operations of the Licensee’s business, including, without limitation, external collaborators, contractors, or independent freelancers who maintain a continuous working relationship with the Licensee. This category encompasses any person who regularly participates in the Licensee’s business activities.
1.3 License Tiers
Plomb Type allows for a tolerance of one tier in the event of changes to the Licensee’s company size. The applicable license tiers are defined as follows:

2–5 people
6–10 people
11–20 people
21–50 people
51–100 people
101–200 people
201–500 people
501–1000 people
1000+ people
For instance, if the Licensee holds a license for 2–5 users, an upgrade will be required once the number of users reaches 11. Should the Licensee’s company size exceed the permitted tier, the Licensee must contact Plomb Type at contact@plombtype.com to arrange the appropriate license upgrade.
2. Permitted Uses
Install and use the Fonts on any number of devices within your organization.
Use the Fonts for any creative purpose, including branding, identity systems, print or digital publications, packaging, advertising, websites, apps, eBooks, broadcast graphics, and social media.
Embed the Fonts in documents, websites, applications, or other digital products without restriction on the number or type of media.
Use the Fonts in both personal and commercial projects without limits on impressions, downloads, or page views.
2.1 Subcontractors
You may provide the Fonts to any number of subcontractors solely for projects directly related to your licensed use.
Subcontractors must:
Agree to comply with this Agreement before receiving the Fonts,
Use the Fonts only for your licensed projects, and
Delete all copies of the Fonts upon project completion.
You are responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors comply with this Agreement.
3. Restrictions
To protect Plomb Type’s intellectual property, you agree not to:
Redistribute, share, sell, lease, lend, or sublicense the Fonts to unlicensed third parties.
Upload Fonts to any publicly accessible online storage or code-sharing service (e.g., GitHub, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).
Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, reformat, or create derivative works based on the Fonts or hire others to do so, without prior written consent from Plomb Type.
Use the Fonts in any application, platform, or service that allows unlicensed users to generate custom designs, text, or products (e.g., print-on-demand, logo generators, or template builders).
Use the Fonts in connection with NFTs, blockchain projects, or smart-contract technologies without prior written approval.
Use the Fonts to promote or produce hate speech, discrimination, or illegal activities.
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of this license without refund.
3.1 Permitted Modifications
Import characters or text from the Fonts into drawing or design applications (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape) and modify them as graphic objects.
Subset the Fonts for web use to optimize performance and file size.
Convert Fonts into web formats (e.g., WOFF2) solely for embedding on your own controlled domains.
You may not modify or distribute altered versions of the Font Software itself.
4. Ownership and Intellectual Propertywnership and Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Fonts, including all present and future copyrights, design rights, and distinguishing typographic features, remain the exclusive property of Plomb Type and its authors. No ownership or title passes to you through this Agreement. Under French law, the moral rights (droits moraux) of the type designer(s) remain inalienable and are retained by their creator(s).
5. Warranty and Liability
The Fonts are provided “as is” without any warranty, express or implied. Plomb Type does not warrant that the Fonts will meet your specific requirements or function uninterrupted or error-free. In no event shall Plomb Type be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, business, or data, arising out of or related to the use or inability to use the Fonts. Plomb Type’s total liability shall never exceed the amount paid for your license. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plomb Type against any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Fonts or breach of this Agreement.
6. Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. It will automatically terminate without notice if you fail to comply with any of its provisions. Upon termination, you must: - Cease all use of the Fonts, and - Destroy all copies in your possession or control. Any continued use after termination constitutes copyright infringement and may lead to legal action.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by and construed under the laws of France. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Paris, France shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
8. Additional Terms
8.1 In-Use Examples
Plomb Type reserves the right to use images or videos of projects using its Fonts for promotional or educational purposes, including on its website and social media.
8.2 Company Transfer or Acquisition
If your company merges with or is acquired by another entity, you must notify Plomb Type. Licenses are non-transferable and require written consent from Plomb Type to remain valid under a new owner.
9. General Provisions
9.1 Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Plomb Type and the Licensee and supersedes any prior agreements or communications.
9.2 Amendments
No modification or waiver of this Agreement shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by Plomb Type.
9.3 Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
9.4 No Waiver
Failure or delay by Plomb Type to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver of that right.
9.5 Privacy and Data
Plomb Type processes personal data (such as billing and contact information) in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). No tracking or telemetry is embedded within the Fonts, and no usage data is collected from installed copies.
